Desiree Baptiste was born and raised in Gray, Louisiana (Bayou Blue). She is a 1985 graduate of Thibodaux High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (1989) and Master of Business Administration degree (1992) from Nicholls State University. She was commissioned with statewide jurisdiction in 2020. She has worked for Southern Teachers & Parents Federal Union in Thibodaux as Branch Manager for over 25 years. Desiree is a member of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce since 1996 where she has served on the Board of Directors as well as Secretary. Desiree has also received her certification as a Certified CU Financial Counselor from the Credit Union National Association, Inc. She offers her notary services "on the go" as Baptiste Notary Services, LLC. She loves assisting others in any capacity of life, wherever she can lend a helping hand. Her passion is helping others (especially the youths) develop budgeting skills and obtaining financial freedom. Desiree is an NNA Certified Signing Agent. She is the mother of twins, Sean and Ciara.
