Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I moved to Louisiana in 1980 after meeting and marrying a Cajun woman; the love of my life. For nearly forty years, I have practiced law and been in notarial practice since graduating from Loyola (New Orleans) School of Law and passing the bar exam in 1983. I am a Master Instructor of Business Law at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette where I have taught for most of my professional career. I have the privilege of teaching the only university credit notary course offered in Louisiana since 2007. My passion to assist individuals seeking their notarial commission led to the creation of my company, Pass My Notary, LLC, in 2009. Groundbreaking tools developed by Pass My Notary include two workbooks, (a Critical Knowledge/Scenario and General Knowledge Workbook). These are in wide circulation throughout the state, used by instructors in some notary classes and helped many achieve success on the state notary exam. In conjunction with workbook materials, I deliver live seminar/workshops several times annually to present effective strategies for students as they prepare for success on the exam.
