How to Register

  1. Click "Register Myself" below
  2. Click "Edit registrant Information" and verify/update your Informal name (badge nickname) and other details.
  3. Select one registration option
  4. Continue below to add other courses and/or tickets that you may need

  5. If adding a guest to your registration
    1. Click the "Add a guest" button
    2. Enter your guest's details
    3. Add/remove tickets to/from your guest's itinerary
    4. At this point if you need to alter your registration, click on yourself under the "Registrants" section to access your registration options and information.

  6. Click the "Proceed to Checkout" button to the right of the screen (bottom for mobile devices)
  7. Enter your payment information and submit to pay for your registration

After you submit your payment, you will be emailed a receipt for your transaction and be directed to a confirmation page. On that page, you will have the option of emailing your receipt to additional addresses. Samantha Bloemer - If you have always desired to know more about the forms and procedure on how to transfer immovable property, then this class if right for you. This course will cover the many different types of immovable property transfers, including sales, donations, dations, exchanges, and quitclaims. Students can expect to learn the requirements for drafting and passing these acts, as well as studying and analyzing example documents!

Nan Riffe - When placing a car loan, you are forced to sign a document called a "security agreement". Ever wonder what this document generally consist of and why you have to sign it? This course will provide information regarding UCC9 Security Agreements from top to bottom, from the sale of the movable all the way to the financing statement. It will discuss the importance of these agreements, even in providing a loan to someone in your family.

Scott Wilfong - This course will cover the basics of will preparation, formalities of execution, how and when to include a testamentary trust, what can and cannot be done with a will, and recent changes to the law regarding testaments and succession law. It will also examine how to use a testament with an inter-vivos trust to accomplish the client’s wishes.

Come learn how to  distinguish between community and separate property regimes and the correct verbiage to employ to maintain each respective regime. You will also learn how to draft a matrimonial agreement and the core components thereof to ensure that you fully satisfy your client's wishes in their matrimonial designations. Jerry Barnett, Samantha Bloemer - This course will be taught in two phases: The first phase will deal with the ethical responsibility of Louisiana notaries, your responsibilities to the public, the definition and consequences of the unauthorized practice of law, and how to best serve the public in the most ethical manner possible. The second phase of this course deals with website building and providing you with the necessary tools to develop content needed to design a successful notary website. Learn the dos and don'ts of website design and promoting one's business online. After you have learned a little about online advertising, we will take you into the intricate webs of notarial ethics and ethics in general and educate you on ethical issues and the ways you can prevent them.
