Bio
Shane J. Milazzo was commissioned as a notary public in Louisiana in 2008. Through his company, iNotaryNow, LLC, Shane has educated hundreds of candidates-become-notaries since the company was founded. He was a guest speaker at the LNA Convention in 2018 and various LNA shops talks. In 2021, he serves as LNA Treasurer, finance committee chairperson, member of the membership committee, and member of the legal research committee. He has remained active in notary legislative affairs through the years and has given testimony at the capital on a number of occasions regarding notary legislation, most recently addressing remote online notary (RON). He has also hosted free information sessions through iNotaryNow to help keep notaries (and the public in general) informed of legislative items affecting notaries and the constituents they serve. He is the principal of a K4-12th grade private school in Lafayette and he has written several books including iNotebook, a study manual for the Louisiana notary candidates. He is well into his second doctoral program (an EdD offered through the America College of Education) with a specialization in online education. His dissertation is titled, "A Phenomenological Qualitative Study of Flood Disasters Experienced by Louisiana School Communities." Finally, he is a Louisiana Master Farmer (certified through LSU Ag and the U. S. Department of Agriculture) and a Louisiana Master Cattle Producer. He and his wife, Maria, reside with their two children in Duson, Louisiana.
